Abstract

This study examines the influence of population size, the Human Development Index (HDI), and the workforce on poverty in Aceh Tamiang Regency, Indonesia. Utilizing secondary data, the analysis applies a multiple linear regression model to uncover significant relationships. The findings reveal that, partially, population size has a negative and significant effect on poverty. Conversely, the Human Development Index and workforce variables show positive but statistically insignificant impacts on poverty. Simultaneously, population size, HDI, and the workforce collectively have a significant influence on poverty levels in the region. These results underscore the multifaceted nature of poverty and highlight the need for integrated policy approaches to address its determinants effectively.
