The influence of entrepreneurial orientation, financial literacy, and love of money on students' entrepreneurial intention
Abstract
This study examines the influence of entrepreneurial orientation, financial literacy, and love of money on students' entrepreneurial intentions. The research was conducted on 260 active students from the 2020, 2021, and 2022 cohorts of the Management Study Program at Samudra University, with a sample of 158 respondents selected using a purposive sampling technique. The data were analyzed using multiple linear regression methods to determine the relationship between the studied variables. The results indicate that entrepreneurial orientation, financial literacy, and love of money significantly influence students' entrepreneurial intentions. Additionally, the combination of these three variables contributes significantly to encouraging students' interest in entrepreneurship. The findings show that 48.5% of the variation in entrepreneurial intention is influenced by entrepreneurial orientation, financial literacy, and love of money, while the remaining percentage is influenced by other factors not included in this study. This study highlights the importance of fostering entrepreneurial attitudes, improving financial literacy, and understanding students' perceptions of money to enhance entrepreneurial intention. The results provide valuable insights for educators and policymakers in designing programs supporting students' entrepreneurial development.
